I have been a frequent ustomer of Nations for fifty years. I have eaten everything on their menus over the years, I've had complaints, I've had some really great meals that did not gather o I've average pride but satisfied my raving for a decent Burger none the less! Simply put, you go to Nations for a nations Burger and a great piece of Pie. Then there are those times when I gotta have some breakfast. I have simple needs, Extra Giant., 3 eggs over easy, Hamburger meat, Hashed Browns darn n' crispy, Sourdough Toast, Coffee and a small drink are standard fair when I want that early morning meal any time before 11:00am. Surprisingly, it is pretty easy to screw-up a breakfast, not many can get it perfect right out the gate. Well, July 22, 2024 I finally had an absolutely PERFECT Breakfast. The eggs were perfectly cooked, over easy, not a speck of over cooked nonsense. One side of the Hashed Browns, dark and crispy and other side cooked but not over cooked. The Hamburger meat, you 'Bet your Bippy' they got that one right, it is their mainstay of expertise. But, for the first time ever the Sourdough was toasted without being dry or chunky, perfectly colored smoothness. The Coffee was perfection as well! To the vertically challenged Person that both took and cooked my order, Bravo sir, BRAVO!!
I feel like all Nation's are consistent. This place was a staple for me during my college years and going out late night. The area is alright, but there's hella parking. The customer service is good, the guy who works later in night is actually hella cool. Its just a normal nations on the inside. Nothing too fancy, coffee and drinks, like a typical diner. I rather come here for the price.
Let me just preface this review by saying I am most definitely a pie person. Out of all desserts pie is my favorite. I love pie so much it was the main dessert in my wedding. With that being said, whenever I go to Nation's I ALWAYS order pie. Banana cream pie is a must try. It's my absolute favorite pie to order here at Nation's. (It's one of the pies I bought for my wedding) The slices of banana mixed with the pudding and topped with cream are the perfect bite. I always try the seasonal pies whenever they changed and I'm very glad with my choice. I decided to try the Raspberry Cheesecake. It was the best balance of sweet and tart.
Love nations since I was in high school. I took my boyfriend here since he's not from the area. I asked him to rate his burger fast food joints in order and this beat most. He said it was so good, but it takes a long time. I always get the salmon burger and a slice of pie. Banana cream, custard, & strawberry are my go to.
$3 difference between a bacon cheeseburger and a cheeseburger. That's what stood out to me first. Well, being the frugal person that I am; decided to use the BOGO $1 coupon from the weekly circular mail. Ordered the gigante burrito with breakfast sausage (other meat choices included ham, linguaca, hamburger or bacon) and the bacon cheeseburger. I'd say maybe one short sausage link in each half of the burrito, which isn't that much. The potato hash will get you full. Eggs looked and tasted some form of powder base. Burger's a burger, def a bigger patty than most places. They toast the bun here, but the lettuce and tomato are raw (cold) so kinda cools down the temp of your burger rather quickly. If dining in, the restaurant is very clean in the cooking area and the floor. Self serve condiment station (bbq sauce, ketchup, and mustard). Not a lot of air circulation indoor though, but you'll sit nice and toasty very quickly. Parking should be easy, though you may have to park a bit farther since it's right next to chik-fil-a
BEST PIES IN FREMONT! Also, now until end of November, they're celebrating Fall with a special Pumpkin Pie Shake. What I didn't know was that they actually put a whole slice of pie IN THE SHAKE!! That's a meal in itself! Other than that, I loooooved the chili here! We got both a bowl of chili AND chili fries lol. After eating here, we even came back the next day to pick up more pies in the other flavors haha.
Lately I've been hooked on their grilled chicken sandwiches with a side of their onions rings. The onion rings are always super crunchy and battered to perfection. The fries are always good but the burger taste better with a side of onion rings. I add onions to my chicken sandwich and dip it into their BBQ sauce. To top it off I grab the pumpkin pie to go because it's the season for pumpkin everything!
I can't believe it's the first time I've ever tried this burger joint! It's fast food but notches above McDonald's, Burger King, and even In-n-out. The burger I got was super fresh, though the onion rings were a tad over cooked which is why I took off one star. The chili burger that my friend got and the chili fries I tried were decent, but nothing too memorable. Portion size was generous enough. Next time I come back I definitely want to try their pies - there's a wide selection and you can purchase by the slice or by the pie. I think they have seasonal ones as well! Located in the same complex as the Chick-fil-A with an abundance of parking. When you enter the restaurant you'll order first at the counter and then find a table. Refillable soda/juice cups available, and food came out quickly. Not very crowded for a Friday night so plenty of tables available!
